Me - and I look like my passport photo! - S.MacAllister

Stuart is a 40 year old football fanatic, living in Bristol, England.

He has lifelong experience of watching football/soccer; from local pub teams to European competitions at home and abroad. Until he was 27 he played the game regularly but gave up due to persistent knee problems. Six years ago, Stuart was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and so only watches games on TV. Stuart is a keen amateur writer and is bringing his two passions together in an attempt to forge a new career as a freelance soccer writer.

His favourite football teams are Liverpool FC and his local side, Bristol Rovers - unusually following both clubs with an equal passion (or depression depending on how the results go!). He is understanding of the pressures the modern game has on the players, managers and fans alike but has no sympathy for millionaire players who act irresponsibly. Soccer is a global game which, essentially, is simple. He is extremely supportive of schemes to develop young players and teach them skills and technique.

He is looking forward to writing for you on a variety of subjects covering the sport and discussing the issues that are making the news.
